Revert

"Put it back the way it was,"
Seems clear enough to understand,
Yet mighty thoughts and fallacies
All have their source in this command.

In nature, once a path is laid,
The context is forever changed;
All efforts to undo the past
Change more, with new things rearranged.

Yet, though this cannnot be achieved
Within the bounds the world supplies,
We somehow find, it meets our needs
Where consciousness, instead, applies.
